Maoist Center’s Central Committee meet underway



KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center’s Central Committee (CC) meeting is underway at Pragya Bhawan in Kamaladi of Kathmandu on Monday.

The CC meeting was held on Sunday as well and today’s meet is continuation of yesterday’s meeting.

An open floor discussion is being held on the 10-page political report submitted by Chairman Prachanda in today’s meeting.

Prachanda called on the central members to express their views through open discussion. He said that there would be no group discussion as the report was brief.

The report includes some new references to the current international situation, apart from current domestic situation, analysis of local level elections and review of the ruling alliance.

The report also mentioned the party’s strategy and preparations for the upcoming election.
