DSP Chair Thakur meets PM Deuba



KATHMANDU: Democratic Socialist Party (DSP) Chairman Mahanta Thakur has held a meeting with Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Chairman Thakur reached the PM’s residence in Baluwatar after concluding his party’s Executive Committee meeting on Saturday afternoon.

DSP Executive member Keshav Jha said the discussion between the two leaders focused on the upcoming federal and state elections.

“Prime Minister Deuba and the party chairman are discussing the issue of forming an alliance in the upcoming elections,” he said.

The next meeting of DSP Executive committee has also been called for at 11 am on Sunday.

Jha added a meeting would be held at the party’s central office in Bijuli Bazar to review the local elections and discuss the internal preparations for the upcoming federal and state elections on Sunday.
