Nepal lose by 10 wickets to UAE



KATHMANDU: Nepal lost to UAE by 10 wickets in the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup Asia qualifiers.

UAE completed the target of 9 runs given by Nepal at UKM Oval in Malaysia in one point one over.

Thirtha Satis of UAE scored 4 runs and Lavanya Kenny scored 3 runs.

Batting first, Nepal was all out for 8 runs in 8.1 overs.

Nepal’s Sneha Mahara added three runs, Manisha Rana two not out, Anu Kadayat, Ashmapulami Magar and Kiran Kumari Kuwar added one run each.

Mahika Gaur of UAE took 5 wickets while Indhuja Nanda Kumar took 3 wickets.

Nepal had defeated Qatar by 79 runs on Friday.

UAE defeated Bhutan by 160 runs in the first match and managed to win for the second time in a row.

Apart from Nepal, the organizers are Malaysia, UAE, Thailand, Bhutan and Qatar.

The top team will play in the World Cup in South Africa.
