Monkeypox infection cases reach 51 in France



PARIS: As many as 51 monkeypox cases have been detected in France.

While the number of monkeypox infections are increasing worldwide, it has also increased in France, according to health officials there.

The first monkeypox infection was reported in May in the European country of France. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are 700 cases of monkeypox infection worldwide.

In France, most of the infected are men. They are in the age group ranging from 22 to 63 years. Only one of them was admitted to the hospital. He has been discharged after being free from infection.
Symptoms include mild fever, muscle aches, fatigue, and blisters on the hands, feet, and face.
