KATHMANDU: The government has requested all those who missed vaccination against COVID-19 to get vaccinated at the election booths on May 13.
According to Ministry of Health and Population Spokesperson Dr. Sangita Mishra, the government has made the arrangement to vaccinate the people who missed their first, second or booster dose against coronavirus at the election booths.
However, the person to be vaccinated should go with the vaccine card denoting when and where they were vaccinated earlier.
“If for some reason you miss the first dose, full dose and booster dose, you can get vaccinated after voting. Preparations for vaccination at the polling station have started,” Spokesperson Mishra said, adding, “Those who missed the vaccine should take the vaccination card along with the voter identity card on that day and get vaccinated.”
Around 20,000 people are vaccinated daily these days.
According to the Department of Health Services, more than 10 million doses of vaccine are in stock at the central and provincial storage centers.
According to sources, the government is targeting to vaccinate more people during election as millions of doses of vaccine are about to expire within a few months.
