Incumbent alliance is for lasting peace: Home Minister Khand



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said that the incumbent alliance was not only to form a government, it is for lasting peace.
Concluding the eighth Tanahu Festival organised by Tanahu Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today, Home Minister Khand clarified that the incumbent alliance was formed with a purpose to safeguard the constitution, not only to form the government. He said that the government was serious not to let any citizen lose his/her life untimely, adding protecting the life of citizens was the first priority of the government.

Home Minister Khand further said that the security agencies have been performing their duties and responsibilities seriously despite limited resources.

Stating that the government was serious for the protection of industrialists, he mentioned, “We are serious and sensitive for the safety of industrialists. Industrialists have role to make the people prosperous and government a capable.”

Similarly, Minister for Water Supply, Umakanta Chaudhary, said that the government was committed to holding elections in the slated time, adding that the country is already in preparation of election.

He further said that the government was committed to providing pure and clean drinking water to every household.

Likewise, central committee member of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Dev Kumar Shrestha, President of Tanahu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Coordinator of Festival Main Ceremony Committee, Pabindra Kumar Shrestha, among others pointed out that the government should promote the private sector.
