Nepal clinches the Tri-nation T20 International title defeating PNG by 50 runs



KATHMANDU: Nepal has defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 50 runs in the final of the ongoing Tri-nation T20 International Cricket Series.

Nepal clinched the title unbeaten in all five matches of the series played at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

After losing the toss, Nepal lost 6 wickets and added 168 runs. Chasing the target of 169 runs, PNG lost all their wickets in 16.1 overs and managed to score only 118 runs.

Dipendra Singh Airee played an unbeaten 54-run half-century for Nepal in the match played at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Airee became the first Nepali player to complete one thousand runs in T20 international cricket from today’s game.

The tri-nation T20 International series was played between Nepal, PNG and Malaysia.
