KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is scheduled to bid for the treasury bill of Rs 32.10 billion Monday.
The bidding for the 28-day, 91-day, 182-day and 364-day treasury bills to be issued by the central bank on April 5 is scheduled to take place on Monday.
NRB is issuing a treasury bill of Rs 2 billion for 28 days. This treasury bill will mature on May 3, 2022.
Similarly, NRB is issuing a treasury bill of Rs 9.10 billion for 91 days. This treasury bill will mature on July 5, 2022.
Likewise, the central bank is issuing treasury bills of Rs 10 billion for 182 days. This treasury bill will mature on October 4, 2022.
NRB is also issuing a treasury bill of Rs 11 billion for 364 days. This treasury bill will mature on April 4, 2023.
These treasury bills will be auctioned online at 3 pm today. Banks and financial institutions of all classes, organized institutions and general public can also participate in the bidding.
The highest bidder is given first priority and the treasury bill is distributed up to the amount called.
Treasury bills are short-term government bonds used to raise internal debt for a period of one year or less.
