UML Vice Chair Pokhrel rules out electoral alliance with Maoists

BHARATPUR: CPN-UML senior vice-chairman Ishwor Pokhrel has ruled out the possibility of an electoral alliance with the Maoist Center in the upcoming local elections.

Talking to reporters in Bharatpur on Monday, Pokhrel came down heavily on the Maoist Center leaders for deceiving the people saying that discussions for forging an electoral alliance with the UML were undergoing.

It should be noted that Maoist leader Barshaman Pun had said that the Maoist could forge an alliance with the UML in the local elections.

Meanwhile, another UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Poudel has also ruled out the possibility of electoral alliance with the Maoist party in the upcoming local elections.

Poudel had earlier said that UML would not form an alliance with any party in the coming election to be held on May 13.
