Over 1.3 million children in Lumbini to be vaccinated against typhoid

BUTWAL: More than 1.3 million children in Lumbini province will be vaccinated against typhoid.

According to the Lumbini Provincial Health Directorate, 1.313 million 989 children of Lumbini will be vaccinated against typhoid from April 5.

Spokesperson of the Health Directorate Roshan Lal Chaudhary informed that they have plans to vaccinate all the children in the province by April 11.

He said that the children would be vaccinated at the school center.

The government is vaccinating all children in the age group of 15 months to 15 years against typhoid.

The number of children in this age group across the country is around 7.5 million, according to the Family Welfare Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
