Murder-accused of three businessmen made public on Friday

KATHAMANDU: The three people arrested in connection with the murder of three businessmen in Morang and Lalitpur have been made public by the District Police Office, Morang on Friday.

The police presented Anil Mandal, 31,  of Siraha as the mastermind of the assassination and made public the arrested three at a press conference on Friday morning.

According to Morang police,  along with Mandal, Dinanath Sonar alias Amit Sah of Jahada-4, Siswani, Morang and Naisr Alam, 62, of Dhanpalthan-7, Kamalpur, Morang were involved in the murder of the three businessman.

The bodies of Rajendra Kumar Shrestha of Sunsari and Shambhu Kumar Chaudhary of Saptari were found buried in a sugarcane field in Morang on January 27.

Similarly, the body of Mohan Limbu of Tehrathum was found buried at Thancho in Godavari Municipality-12 of Lalitpur on Thursday evening.

The investigation carried out by Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu and the District Police Office Morang revealed that the  mastermind of the assassination, Mandal, and the three victims were doing business together. Preliminary investigations revealed that Mandal killed them to monopolize the business.
