PM Deuba and India’s PM Modi to jointly inaugurate rail service from Jayanagar to Dhanusha



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi are preparing to jointly inaugurate the 35-kilometer train service virtually from India’s Jayanagar to Kurtha in Dhanusha of Nepal.

According to the Nepal Railway Company, the inauguration is likely to be done on the third week of February.

Niranjan Jha, General Manager of Nepal Railway Company said that the train will be operated regularly after the joint inauguration.

The train was purchased at Rs 839.3 million by Nepal Government on the basis of government to government (G to G) agreement from India.
