Prospect of losing elections worries me: NC leader Thapa



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that he is afraid of the prospect of losing elections.

Addressing a program in Budanilkanth, Kathmandu, on Saturday, narrating his election experience, the NC leader said that victory and defeat are part of elections, however, the prospect of losing worried him.

“Sometime we win election. Then we are happy. After that, the fear of what will happen in next election exists. This happens to me,” Thapa said.

“But winning and losing are part of life. There will be wins and losses. We must teach future generations that both success or failure exist. However, one continue their work regardless of outcome. Results may not always come as expected. But the action must continue.”
