Traffic disrupted in various road sections in Makawanpur



NUWAKOT: Traffic has been obstructed in various parts of Sisneri road section in Makawanpur district due to rain-triggered landslide on Tuesday night.

The landslide occurred at Ramchandra Bhanjyang at Indrasarobar rural municipality brought vehicular movement along the road-section to standstill, informed District Police Office, Makawanpur.

DSP Tek Bahadur Karki shared that the vehicles have begun using the alternative roads instead of Kathmandu-Bhimphedi-Hetauda Road (Kanti Highway) disrupted due to landslide.

Preparation was underway to remove landslide debris and resume vehicular movements on the road by today afternoon, according to police post at Sisneri.

Likewise, Muglin road section has been disrupted by landslide due to landslide last night. Vehicles plying the roads at noon have been allowed to enter Kathmandu on the priority basis via Tribhuvan Highway.

Night service vehicles are banned on the road-section in the Highway due to security concern.
