People’s mobility halts after flood sweeps away bridge

MYAGDI: People’s mobility has been obstructed after a flood occurred at Malika Rural Municipality-7, Marangkhola in Myagdi swept away a wooden bridge.

The flood took away the bridge over the Marang rivulet flowing through Shivaratri and Bharwang settlement.

It may be noted that the wooden bridge was installed after the flood that occurred on 9-10 July 2020 had blown away the bridge constructed over the rivulet with the use of Truss technology.

Chairperson of Janmabhumi Youth Club of Bharwang Prabin Jumjali shared that people’s mobility has been completely halted after the flood took away the temporary wooden bridge.

“Problem has emerged when Bharwang village remained out of connectivity through road and trail route”, he said, adding even school students are being deprived of attending classes.
