SC to decide on civil servants’ adjustment on August 17



KATHMANDU: After the completion of the hearing on a case concerning the civil servants’ adjustment, the Supreme Court (SC) is to give its verdict on August 17.

The SC fixed the date for giving its verdict for August 17 after the completion of the hearing in the Constitutional Bench of Acting Chief Justice Dipak Kumar Karki and Justices Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, Anil Kumar Sinha, Bam Kumar Shrestha and Tanka Bahadur Moktan.

Hearing on 99 petitions on this issue filed by the government employees adjusted in the Federal, Province and Local Level continued for four days since Friday.

Earlier, the SC had given a verdict concluding that the civil servants’ adjustment made by the government was lawful adding that the civil servants adjusted in such a way need not be welcomed back to the federal civil service.
