Nepal sees 53 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 53 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 39 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 14 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,120 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,162 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 958 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 333 active cases in the country as 20 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
