UML holding Secretariat meeting to formulate election strategy



KATHMANDU: The main opposition party CPN-UML has convened a meeting of the Secretariat on Sunday.

A meeting has been called for 11 a.m. Sunday at the party’s central office, Chyasal.

The meeting will discuss strategy for the upcoming election, internal issues of the party and national politics, among others.

Meanwhile, the party has been demanding the resignation of Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma alleging him of manipulating tax rates in collusion with an unauthorized person a day before presenting the budget in the parliament.

The party has also been demanding the formation of a probe committee to investigate the issue.
