Nepal sees 26 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 26 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 19 were detected through the RT-PCR method and seven through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,605 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 4,528 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,077 through the Antigen method.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.

Currently, there are 111 active cases in the country as nine infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.
