NEPSE climbs down below 2100 points

Declines by 33.76 points Friday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) plunged for the fifth day in a row and climbed down below 2100 points on Friday.

The stock market index dropped by 33.76 points to 2,078.76 points today.

While the shares of all groups declined on the last trading day of the week, the shares of insurance groups dropped by higher numbers.

A total of 38.48 million shares of 226 companies have been traded at a value of Rs 1.30 billion Friday.

With the transaction worth 62.3 million, NIC Asia Bank became the most traded stock.

Today, the share of the Kisan Microfinance dropped by almost nine percent. Shares of Upkaar Microfinance and Balefi Hydropower rose 10 percent despite the overall market decline.
