U-19 Women’s WC Qualifiers: Nepal taking on Qatar today



KATHMANDU: Nepal is taking on Qatar for the U-19 Women’s World Cup qualifiers today.

The Nepali team that reached Malaysia with 14 players is aiming for a flying start in the competition.

The top team in the tournament will play in next year’s World Cup in South Africa.

Along with Nepal, six nations including Malaysia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand, Bhutan and Qatar are participating in the competition.

Though other teams look weaker than Nepal, Nepal will have tough competition with Thailand. The last performance of the Nepali team against Thailand was not satisfactory.

In the remaining matches, Nepal is scheduled to play against UAE on Saturday, Bhutan on Monday, Thailand on Tuesday and Malaysia on Thursday.
