Two persons dead in Baitadi



BAITADI: Two persons died in separate incidents in the Baitadi district on Thursday.

A person died after falling off a cliff while the next one was found dead, police said.

Bhandev Awasthi, 41, of Khipali in Patan Municipality-6 died on the spot after falling from Bannari cliff near Khipali on Thursday evening, ward chair of ward no. 6 of the municipality Rajendra Singh Bista confirmed.

Likewise, 52-year-old Gagan Singh Dhami of Sigas rural municipality-1 was found dead near Gajaribazaar, according to Police Inspector Kamal Chaudhary of Area Police Office, Patan.

Police said investigations into the incidents have been initiated.
