Ruling coalition candidates elected unopposed in Lalitpur DCC



KATHMANDU: All the office-bearers of the Lalitpur District Coordination Committee have been elected unopposed.

The office of the Chief Returning Officer, Lalitpur, had fixed the date for the registration of candidates for June 1.

Rishidev Phuyal of the Nepali Congress and Ram Lal Thing of the CPN (Maoist Center) have been elected unopposed as the Chair and Vice Chair of DCC Lalitpur.

Similarly, Harihar Karki, Dinesh Ghorsaini, and Sadhuram Shrestha of the CPN (Maoist Center) have been elected as members from the open category, Suber Bahadur Pahari of the Nepali Congress from minorities, and Shobha Maharjan of the CPN (Maoist Center), Geeta Khadka and Shobha Karki of the Nepali Congress were elected as women members.

The elected office-bearers have been sworn in by Chief Returning Officer Kiran Prasad Shivakoti.
