NC plans election rallies in 10 major cities across country starting Wednesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has planned to hold election rallies in 10 major cities of the country starting Wednesday.

The rallies will be addressed by top central leaders, including NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

According to the decision of Local Level Central Mobilization Committee of the NC, an election rally is planned in Biratnagar for Wednesday, in Bharatpur of Chitwan for Thursday, in Kathmandu for Friday and in Butwal of Rupandehi, Tanahu’s Damauli and Dhanusha’s Janakpur on Saturday.

Likewise, the rallies will take place in Kaski’s Pokhara and Dang’s Tulsipur on coming Sunday, in Kailal’s Dhangadhi on coming Monday and in Dadeldhura on coming Tuesday.

Senior NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel, General Secretaries Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Gagan Thapa, party Spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat among others are to address the rallies, according to a statement issued by the NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.
