Festivals foster national unity: CM Pokhrel



POKHARA: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel, has said religious and cultural festivals foster national unity. They also help in maintaining harmony and tolerance in society.

Giving a message of best wishes on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, a festival celebrated by the Muslim community, today, CM Pokhrel hoped the festival would inspire everyone to make the country peaceful and prosperous by enhancing fraternity, love, and unity. Nepali is rich in cultural and religious diversity, he reminded.

The religious tolerance in Nepal is exemplary, he mentioned.

The government has given a public holiday today.
