Prachanda asks Narayan Kaji to not leave party

KATHMANDU: In a bid to narrow down differences between Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and party leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Prachanda invited the latter to his residence for a discussion.

Dissatisfied with the party’s decision to vote in favor of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact, Shrestha has been meeting with leaders of other fringe Left parties to form a new political force.

Sources claimed that Prachanda asked Shrestha not to leave the party.

On Monday, Prachanda had said that any leader was free to leave the party.

Shrestha had become even more dissatisfied with Prachanda’s statement.

Prachanda has been convincing Shrestha to not leave the party.
