Karnali Province: 3 bills sent to committees for clause-wise discussion



SURKHET: The 11th meeting of the ninth session of Karnali Province Assembly has sent three bills to the parliamentary committees for clause-wise discussion.

Karnali Province Speaker Raj Bahadur Shahi on last February 10 had granted 72-hour timeline for amendment proposal, if any, on five bills tabled for deliberations in the 9th meeting.

Sharing that amendment proposals were registered on the bills within the given timeline, Speaker Shahi said the concerned ministers have been granted time to register proposal for further discussion today.

The bill to make first amendment to the ‘Karnali Province Cooperative Act, 2075 (First Amendment), presented by Province Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Chandra Bahadur Shahi for clause-wise discussion, has been sent to the Social Development Committee.

Likewise, the ‘Bill to Establish Peace and Rehabilitation Center, 2077’, presented by Minister for internal Affairs and Law Him Bahadur Shahi, has been sent to the Province Affairs and Legislation Committee.

Similarly, a non-government bill ‘Sinja Civilization Protection and Development Bill’, presented by Province Assembly member Naresh Bhandari, has been sent to the Social Development Committee for clause-wise discussion.

As informed, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Bindaman Bista tabled the ‘Karnali Province Appropriation Bill, 2078’ as the replacement bill when the Assembly had already passed the same Appropriation Bill, 2078.
