Labor Ministry to classify companies providing foreign employment services



KATHMANDU: The government is to classify private companies involved in foreign employment business to make foreign employment systematic and dignified.

The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has formed a task force under the coordination of Joint Secretary of the Ministry Rajiv Pokharel, to prepare the necessary indicators and procedures for classifying the foreign employment companies by determining required criteria and standards.

According to the private secretariat of the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, the task force formed today includes the Chief of the Foreign Employment Office, the Executive Director of the Foreign Employment Board and representative members of the foreign employment companies.

At present, there are 860 registered foreign employment companies in the country.
