Lalitpur metropolis adding 1,100 smart street lights



KATHMANDU: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City is installing additional smart street lights in the city area in the second phase.

According to Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan, additional 1,100 street lights are being installed with the technical assistance of the Nepal Electricity Authority and investment of the metropolis.

Maharjan said that the lights will be installed in areas, including Bungmati, Khokna, Sunakothi, Dhapakhel, Bhainsepati, Harisiddhi and other areas.

He informed that after the installation of the smart street lights in the second phase, a tender will be issued for the connection of lights in the 7.9 km section of the Ring Road within Lalitpur.
