Two held with 72 kg marijuana from Itahari

KATHMANDU: Two individuals have been arrested with 72 kilograms of marijuana from Itahari Sub Metropolitan City of Sunsari district.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad arrested Bikram Rai, 24, and Sanjiv Rai, 33, of Sahidbhumi rural municipality-1, Dhankuta from Tarahara Chowk along the Koshi Highway on Sunday night.

Police arrested them with the marijuana during a security check. The motorcycle, Pradesh 1-02-042 Pa 6219, used by them has also been impounded.

The arrested have been handed over to Area Police Office, Itahari for investigation.
