KATHMANDU: Incumbent Deputy Speakers of Karnali Province and Bagmati Province have been elected as the central committee members of CPN (Maoist Center).
Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” on Sunday evening picked Deputy Speaker of Bagmati Pradesh Radhika Tamang and that of Karnali Pradesh Pushpa Gharti as the central committee members.
Speakers and Deputy Speakers should not become members of any party according to parliamentary practices.
They must resign from the party posts once they get elected as Speakers or Deputy Speakers.
