UML leading, NC trailing in PR votes under HoR, PA



KATHMANDU: A total of 10,382,085 votes have been counted under Proportional Representation (PR) system under the House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly election.

As per the latest information entered into the information system of the Election Commission, of the total votes counted so far, CPN (UML) is taking the lead with 2,773,999 votes while Nepali Congress is trailing with 2,644,241 votes.

The election to HoR and Province Assembly was held on November 20 this year.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialist) have secured 1,161,256 votes and Rastriya Swatantra Party 1,119,996.

Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 585,921 votes, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal 420,931 votes while Janamat Party 394,345 votes.

Of the 165 seats of HoR under the First-Past-The-Post, result of 162 has already come out while results from Syangja constituency no 2, Dolakha and Bajura remain to come out, the Commission said.
