China provides 14 excavators to 14 municipalities

KATHMANDU: The Chinese government has provided excavators to Chumanubri Rural Municipality of Gorkha.

The Nepali Army is currently opening a road track in Chumanubri, which is not connected to a road network.

Excavators have been provided to 14 municipalities in 14 bordering districts, including Chumanubri.

Bhimsen Shrestha, Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality, said that the office of the Consul General in Tibet handed over the excavators to the municipalities at the Rasuwagadhi crossing.

Chumanubri Rural Municipality brought an excavator to Gorkha headquarters only a few days ago due to the delay in the process of customs clearance.

The excavator kept on the District Coordination Committee office premises is being prepared to be taken to the rural municipality after Dashain.

Shrestha said that the excavator will be used for road widening.
