NC revises closed list of PR candidates

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has submitted its final list of candidates under the proportionate representation (PR) system to the Election Commission.

An NC leader said the party has made numerous changes to the list after the anti-establishment faction led by Shekhar Koirala expressed its serious objection to the list.

According to NC’s chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, the updated list was submitted to the Election Commission on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the deadline given to the parties to update their closed list of candidates under the PR system is ending today.

Candidates in the closed list can withdraw their names by Monday, according to the election program published by the Election Commission.
