KATHMANDU: Dwarika Lal Chaudhary, the former mayor of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan, has joined the Maoist Center.
Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda welcomed Chaudhary to the party at his residence at Khumaltar on Sunday morning.
Prachanda informed through the social network Twitter that Chaudhary and other UML leaders and activists joined the Maoist Center.
Chaudhary, who was earlier a UML leader, joined the Maoist Center after Prachanda assured him that he would give him a ticket to the State Assembly.
