Maoist Center issues circular to recommend candidates likely to win elections

KATHMANDU: The Bagmati Province Committee of the CPN-Maoist Center has instructed the municipalities, federal, province, and constituencies, and district committees to select direct and proportional candidates for federal and provincial constituencies of all 13 districts for the upcoming elections.

Formerly criticized for repeating the same names for the candidacy, this time the Maoist Center issued a circular to be selective on the names and recommend only the individuals who can bag victory in the election.

According to Province Committee Secretary Indra Bahadur Thing, the extended meeting of the Bagmati Province Committee gave such instructions.

In the circular issued to implement the decisions of the meeting, it asked to select the candidate as unanimously as possible and not to repeat the name of the candidates who had been elected through the proportional votes earlier.
