Nepal sees 814 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 814 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 509 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 305 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,415 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,762 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,653 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,144 active cases in the country as 299 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No death was recorded in the past 24 hours and COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,968 to date.
