Police nab man with 20 tola gold ornaments



BIRATNAGAR: The police have arrested a man with 20 tola gold ornaments from Biratnagar airport on Tuesday.

According to Morang Police spokesperson DSP Deepak Shrestha, Kul Bahadur Sunuwar of Itahari, Sunsari has been arrested with the gold ornaments.

Sunuwar was going to Kathmandu from Biratnagar by Yeti Airlines flight Tuesday morning.

Sunuwar, who was arrested with 20 tola gold ornaments he was taking to Kathmandu has been taken to District Police Office custody in Biratnagar for further investigation.

The arrested man claimed to have bought three kg of gold from the bank and made ornaments for sale in Kathmandu.

The police have asked for the bills and initiated an investigation, DSP Shrestha said.
