Bamdev Gautam expelled from CPN Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan

KATHMANDU: CPN-Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan Coordinator Bamdev Gautam has been expelled from the party.

Leader Yubaraj Safal said a meeting of chairpersons of party-affiliated Samajwadi Kendra Nepal, Adhunik Nepal Samajwadi Party, CPN (Rastribadi) and Aam Nepali Party expelled Gautam from the party.

A meeting of the top leaders of the four parties held at a party palace in the capital on Saturday expelled Gautam and formed a secretariat committee under the coordination of leader Safal.

The 11-member secretariat has Krishna Gopal Banjara, Minnath Devkota, Neelkantha Poudel, Dwarika Niraula Manav, Guna Bahadur Banjara, Bharat Kumal, Bhagwati Dhakal, Saraswati Neupane, Tej Bahadur Karki and Roshan Lamichhane.

They have labeled five-point allegations against Gautam.

Leader Safal said, “Gautam tried to impose his authoritarianism in the party like KP Oli is doing with CPN-UML. When we asked to sit down for a discussion, members of his past team lobbied with him for top posts and he also placed them in the cental committee. He displayed such behavior. He refused to even meet with us and determine the order of precedence in the party. Hence, we expelled him today.”

Gautam announced the formation of the party just four days ago.
