Pokhara High Court remands actor Paul Shah in custody



KATHMANDU: Pokhara High Court has remanded actor Paul Shah in custody for hearing into a rape case.

Upholding the Tanahu and Nawalpur district courts’ previous orders, Pokhara High Court today ordered to carry forward proceedings in the rape case by keeping the actor behind bars.

The Tanahu and Nawalpur district courts had remanded Shah in custody for hearing. Shah had appealed to the High Court, Pokhara, against the orders of the two district courts.

A joint bench of Justices Ujjwal Shukla and Shridhara Kumari Pudasaini passed the order on Thursday to keep the actor behind bars and conduct hearing into the case, said Pokhara High Court Deputy Registrar Bishnu Prasad Acharya.
