UML faces new challenge of saving party from its own leaders: Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairpersons KP Sharma Oli has said a new challenge of how to save the party from its own leaders has emerged in the UML.

Addressing a meeting of the People’s Organization Coordination Mechanism on Thursday, Chairman Oli said, “People have showered love on the UML and gave it the popular first vote. But, there is problem within us.”

Expressing gratitude to the public for the support extended to the UML, he added, “When one UML leader tried to defeat the other within the party, both sides had to incur loss. There is no cooperation among the leaders and team spirit is lacking.”

Drawing attention of party rank and file towards the UML’s slippery position among the public, he concluded, “In fact, an added challenge of how to save the party from its own leaders has emerged.”
