Singh appointed IG as the best among AIGS



KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Dhiraj Pratap Singh as Inspector General of Nepal Police as the most suitable among the Additional Inspector Generals.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on May 1 promoted Singh to the post of Inspector General. Likewise, Additional Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal has been appointed as Inspector General of Armed Police Force.

At a press conference held at the Ministry on Monday to share the decisions of the cabinet meeting, Minister Karki said that Additional Inspector General of Armed Police Aryal has been promoted to the post of Inspector General of Armed Police.

The cabinet meeting has given approval to acquire land for Treasury and Accounts Comptroller Office, Khotang.

Minister Karki also said that it has been decided to give approval to the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens to sign an additional five-year agreement with the Civil Servants’ Wives Association for the operation of the day child care center.

Similarly, the cabinet meeting has decided to approve the National Defense University Infrastructure Construction Development Committee (Formation) (Second Amendment) Order, 2079 BS.

The meeting has decided to promote three Gazetted Second Class Officers of various service groups to Gazetted First Class of the respective service groups as per the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.
