Government expects sound security during terms of new security chiefs



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said the government hopes to see the strengthened and sound security in the nation during the terms of Nepal Police Chief Dhiraj Pratap Singh and Armed Police Force Chief Raju Aryal.

During a meeting with newly elected Inspectors General of both security forces at the Home Ministry today following the assumptions of offices by the two, the Home Minister urged them to go with required preparations for ensuring free and impartial local level elections slated for May 13.

On the occasion, the Minister wished for a successful terms of IGs Singh and Aryal.

Prior to this, the newly-appointed Inspectors General of Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force were presented the insignia of the Inspector General. Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey decorated them with the insignia at an investiture ceremony organized at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
