Biratnagar metropolis poll candidate Koirala sits down with business community



BIRATNAGAR: The Nepali Congress (NC) organized a meeting with the business community in Biratnagar on election strategy and preparations for the May 13 local election.

The gathering focused on poll strategy and development of economy and industry in Biratnagar, said NC’s mayoral candidate in Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Nagesh Koirala.

During the meeting, he sought suggestions from them on the issue of reducing tax rate and expanding its scope, according to him. He in his election manifesto has prioritised road construction and arrangements for safe drinking water and sanitation in Biratnagar, he said.

He also pledged to curb corruption while he himself staying away from the crime.

Other presents on the occasion were NC leaders Dr Shekhar Koirala, Bimalendra Nidhi and Mahesh Acharya.
