99,000 ballot papers reach Darchula



DARCHULA: Darchula district has received 99,000 ballot papers for local-level election taking place on May 13. The ballot papers have been kept at the office of the Chief Returning Officer.

Election Officer at the District Election Office, Chitra Prakash Joshi, 58 different types of election related materials have reached the district. With this, necessary preparations have been accelerated to hold local-level election.

Election officer Pradeep Singh Dhami said that activities are underway to allocate election materials for every voting centre. Similarly, preparation has been made to impart training to voting officers and assistant voting officers to be deputed in elected within one or two days. More than 1,000 employees are to be deputed in the district for the election.

There are 88,285 voters in the district and 110 voting centres and 130 polling booths have been determined. .
