Newly appointed IGP duo Singh and Aryal conferred with insignias



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has conferred insignias on the newly-appointed Inspector General of Nepal Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh and IGP of Armed Police Force (APF) Raju Aryal amidst a program on Monday morning.

Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey conferred the insignias on IGP duo Singh and Aryal at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singha Durbar this morning, the Home Ministry said.

The government promoted them to the top posts after the IGP of Nepal Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri and the other IGP of the APF Pushpa Ram KC retired on the ground of the completion of a 30-year service term on Sunday midnight.

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand bade adieu to Thapa Chhetri and KC at a program organized at the ministry on Sunday itself.
