Valley witnessing light rain since early morning today

KATHMANDU: Rain is occurring in some parts of the country including the Kathmandu Valley since early morning today.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the weather of Nepal is currently affected by local winds, low-pressure systems arising from the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh to the plains of West Bengal, and westerly winds.

The Division has also stated that the weather is partly to generally cloudy across the country, currently.

There is light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places of the hilly terrain of the rest of the provinces including Pradesh 1, Madhesh Pradesh, and Bagmati Pradesh.

This afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy in Province 1, Madhesh Pradesh, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, and Lumbini Pradesh.

Similarly, the weather will remain partly cloudy in Karnali and Far Western provinces.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain amidst thunderstorms in some places of Province 1, Madhesh Pradesh, and Gandaki Pradesh, and a few places in Bagmati Pradesh, Lumbini Pradesh, Karnali Pradesh, and Far Western Province.
