NC’s foreign policy based on country’s interest and need: NC spokesperson Dr Mahat

KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC)’s spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat asserted the party exercises its foreign policy as per the need and interest of the country.

Dr Mahat reiterated that NC followed the same policy whether it was in leadership role or not.

On a different note, Dr Mahat clarified that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had summoned all political parties to discuss his three-day official visit to India that commenced on April 1.

He refuted the accusation of the chairperson of major opposition party CPN (UML), KP Oli that PM Deuba did not ‘telephone’ him for the same.

Mahat, also former Minister for Foreign Minister, said that PM Deuba would raise agendas and issues of national interest and concerns during his visit to India.

“Apart from the border related issues, Nepal and India shares a cordial relation,” he claimed.
