All citizens should be vaccinated against COVID -19 until the coming election: NA Chair

KATHMANDU: National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has said that all the citizens should be administered the full-dose vaccine against COVID-19 until the upcoming election.

He stressed that the political parties should also bring forward the vaccination topic with priority.

The Chairman of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament said so while addressing a programme of interaction on ‘communication risk related to vaccines against COVID-19 and community participation’ organized jointly by the Ministry of Health and Population and the World Health Organization (WHO) here today.

Chair Timilsina called for keeping in priority the task of declaring Nepal as fully-vaccinated until the election.

“All can become safe from coronavirus infection if all the people are vaccinated. This will also benefit the political parties. So, let us go to the people with a message of full vaccination and becoming more active,” he said.

He said Nepal has made progress in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in spite of limited means and resources.
