Prachanda proposing names of office bearers



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Maoist Center’s Standing Committee is underway at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu.

The meeting is being held in Kamaladi on the eighth day of the party’s Eighth National General Convention.

In today’s meeting, party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” will propose the names of the office-bearers.

According to a leader, Prachanda will propose the names of the aspiring central members in the Central Working Committee in today’s Standing Committee meeting.

The Central Election Commission of the party has already started the election process on Saturday to elect new leadership.

Accordingly, the list of about 1750 voters has also been published.

The closed session has been postponed till 2 pm today in a bid to elect the leadership unanimously.
